Valley View Farm in Haydenville, MA has a perfect blend of elevated rustic charm and “laid-back luxury”. Couples, if you are searching for a venue that has ecelctic character, not-too-stuffy elegance, and loads of natural light, look no further.
M & T hosted all of their closest friends and family to celebrate their love in late August 2024 and had the most dreamy day. Here is a glimpse into their wedding day!
The bride and groom had their romantic first look by the forest at the edge of the venue, creating a whimsical garden backdrop that added more intimacy for their private vow exchange. They both shed tears as they told each other how important this day was to them and how deeply they felt for each other.
The bride also chose to have first looks with her father & brothers, and also her bridesmaids which allowed for so many candidly heartfelt moments.
One unique feature of Valley View Farm not only as a wedding photographer but also for this M & T is that this venue has a swanky private bar, Muse Cider Bar, dedicated to where the groom and his groomsmen got ready, and enjoy classic cocktails. An example of the luxurious experience at Valley View—M requested espresso martinis for specific pre-ceremony photos and the bar team made sure they were on hand!
M & T chose to have their ceremony at the Open Air Ceremony Pavilion at Valley View Farm which is the first time I have seen something like this and it was gorgeous. This ceremony space spoke for itself and didn’t need too much decor since the open-air concept gave guests the view of the surrounding scenery & the white drapery added romantic ambience. I haven’t seen many ceremony spaces that combine an elegant feel with natural scenery and Valley View Farm achieves this effortlessly.
The signature cocktails that M & T chose to serve were so unique which is another reason why I applaud this venue even more. Valley View Farm’s approach to their bar service is “farm-inspired”. M’s drink was a strawberry basil lemonade while T’s drink was a bourbon sweet tea, both crafted with seasonal ingredients which complemented the late summer wedding vibe.
The bar team prepped these drinks in advance and which created a smooth flow for their guests to enjoy more of cocktail hour mingling rather than waiting in line at the bar for most of this time. That meant MORE candids of guests enjoying themselves which adds more to the story of their wedding photo gallery.
About halfway through cocktail hour, T changed into a white cocktail coat and made an entrance with M which made an iconic statement and added another level of elegance to their day.
M & T’s color scheme was black and white: Black bridesmaids dresses & tuxedos, black napkins, abd white florals, table runners & candles. There was something so minimalistic about these choices but it didn’t feel sparce. There was an intentional minimal elegance throughout their day and you can see it in their reception details and it paired well with the white drapery and curtains in the reception space as it brought out the venue’s natural light and warm wood tones. There is a disco ball in this space as well that when the sun hit just right it created a magical glow during intros, first dances and speeches. The natural light in this space was truly to die for. So if you are thinking about having a disco ball weding reception, consider having it at Valley View Farm.
The energy of the reception was high with everyone up on their feet dancing—even grandmothers! As the night was winding down, the couple enjoyed their late night snack of wood fired pizzas and the venue broke out their cigar bar for anyone to enjoy.

This wedding was one of my favorite of 2024 and one that I will look back on fondly forever. It was so sad to say “goodbye for now” to this incredible couple but we all know it won’t be the last time we see each other. I cannot wait to photograph more milestones in their lives!
