I feel so safe and secure having my sd cards stored in this case. It’s water & dust proof so when I have my sd cards stored in here for months on end to keep archives for my weddings, I know I don’t have to worry. And rather than having multiple smaller sd card holders, this is the perfect size so they’re all in one place.
If you’re wondering which specific sd cards to get for weddings days, these are it—specifically the speed. When I was starting out, I didn’t even realize that there were different speeds for SD cards. But now I know that it makes all the difference. So I get the 64GB 200mb/s because its the perfect amount of storage for a wedding day & if I am capturing moments really quickly, I know that it will keep up with me.
PRO TIP for those of you that are beginners: Make sure you are dual slot recording, so you have 2 sd cards rather than one. But if you’re just doing sessions 32GB will be plenty for you.
I use this as my travel case for backup cards I would need. So if a card corrupts or I fill the card during a wedding, I’ll have extra sd cards clipped to my bag. It’s quick to access and these are also water resistant.
This is for all my type-a peoople out there. These have been such a life saver for me. I’m sure you can relate to having so many sd cards that all look the same and have no idea what images are on what unless you physically put it in your camera and look through or plug it into your laptop. Which is fine, but this will make your life so much easier. When you’re done offloading your images onto your drives, just stick one of these labels on so its fresh in your mind. Sometimes I even put the due dates on one of the lines so I can keep track of when I need to deliver galleries.
If you’re wondering where I stand on the hard drive versus SSD train, here is your answer.
These are probably my favorite SSDs out of the bunch. In my opinion, they’re the quickest & most reliable. I’ve used other SSDs that randomly disconnect or have trouble mounting with my Mac, and so far, these have given me no issues. They are a similar price point if not the same as other SSDs. and they come in a cute beige—LOL.
Catch me wearing this at all my weddings. With this I’m able to have two cameras on me with lenses that have different focal points. Rather than having to pause to switch my lens during the wedding day, I won’t have to waste any time when I wear this. I’m big on not having the wedding timeline fall behind because of me, so having this has been a life saver.
This one is for the beginners. It’s something I wish I had when learning how to shoot manual. This is a great way to visually see what happens when you adjust your aperture, shutter speed & ISO—especially if you don’t have a mirrorless camera. So when you’re practicing, keep this bad boy handy if you blank on what you need to adjust.
Honestly, this is the best tool to grab social media content while your shooting. It attaches right to your camera’s hot shoe so it’s technically hands-free. Just hit record while you’re shooting & you won’t have to worry about it.
I got this for Christmas two years ago and it hasn’t left my camera bag. If you’re not a fan of the camera harness, or need your hands free with quick access to your camera, this has been an awesome accessory. It’s great for adventure elopements too when you don’t really need a second camera or lens and also want your hands free while hiking up a mountain but want quick access just in case theres a beautiful moment while climbing.
Taking care of your gear is such an obvious one but sometimes can be the last thing on your mind. Maybe its because you don’t have a kit that makes it easy to do so. If that’s the case, then take a look at this camera cleaning kit. It has everything you’ll need to keep your gear in tip-top shape!
