You’re getting married in Massachusetts and you’re searching for the perfect place to say “I do”, celebrate your story, and dance the night away with your closest friends and family.
I absolutely love the rustic barn aesthetic for wedding days.
I could write a novel about how incredible Valley View Farm in Haydenville, Massachusetts is.
Their coordination team is every type A girlie’s dream. When I say they’ve thought of everything… I mean it. The level of organization, coordination, and attention to detail can only be described as exceptional.
One thing I really keyed in on about their client experience, is how much attention they gave the bride. They regularly checked in to see if she needed to use the bathroom, grab a snack, or take a break. They cared SO much about her experience, and it was evident in every single interaction I witnessed.
I also loved the golf cart network that transports guests throughout the grounds. It makes sure everyone is where they need to be… and on time, every time.
In terms of the venue itself…
There’s a little cottage that has been transformed into Muse Cider Bar, this adorable, swanky bar where the groomsmen got ready, and the bridal party can enjoy classic cocktails– like the Espresso martinis I photographed.
Plus, there’s multiple ceremony spaces here. You can have an outdoor ceremony under a billowing tree, or you can have it at a combo indoor-outdoor space with white drapery. Truly rustic elegance at its finest.
Some other details that are still buzzing around my brain: The cutest little green truck that we can take the best sunset photos in, a disco ball that emits the vibe-iest light for portraits, and an after party space equipped with a pizza oven and cigar bar.
Valley View Farm is an all around gorgeous venue with thoughtful staff that will go the extra mile (or 10) to make sure you have a perfect wedding.
This will be your dream venue if you want a classic rustic barn wedding that looks great in every season.
There are rustic light fixtures throughout the space with edison bulbs, adding the cozy rustic vibe that so many people are after.
The linked ceremony and reception space is a dream. There’s an adorable patio for cocktail hour, and there’s a golf cart you can take to the vintage bridge for photos.
I also love the upstairs loft in the reception space because you can overlook the dance floor. It makes for really epic group shots.
For the winter wedding I photographed here, the staff even added stunning seasonal decorations to the space.
Both of the weddings I’ve photographed here had a romantic ceremony followed by a rowdy and lively dance floor. So if that’s what you’re envisioning, The Barn at Blackstone National is where you should say “I do.”
Fern Hill Barn in Spencer, Mass is the perfect choice if you want an incredible mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces, gardens galore, and enough charm to make Jennifer Lawrence jealous.
This venue sports whimsical, fairylike gardens, a gorgeous greenhouse, the cutest frog pond, and a getting ready suite that’s to die for.
The reception is inside the barn space, but there’s also a gorgeous tent, adorned with string lights where guests can dance and continue the festivities outside.
There’s zero shortage of natural scenery to incorporate in your photos. The Gazebo overlooks foliage in the fall. And the fern hill is insanely photogenic if you’re willing to risk some dirty shoes and hemlines.
I’ve photographed weddings here in the fall and summer, and can attest to its sheer beauty no matter the season.
If you’re looking for garden charm, definitely add Fern Hill Barn to the list.
I’m your gal.
